Tailgate Beans

1 pound very lean ground beef (optional)
• 1/2 cup chopped onion
• 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed (optional)
• 1/4 cup ketchup
• 1/4 cup barbeque sauce
• 2 tablespoons mustard
• 2 tablespoons molasses
• 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 can baked beans
• 1 cup butterbeans
• 1 can kidney beans

Brown meat and onions, draining off any fat. In Dutch oven or crockpot, combine meat-onion mixture with remaining ingredients and add water until it reaches desired consistency. Bring to a boil and let simmer about 30 minutes.
